Discover beautiful locations and views on our river Medway and local areas, such as The Boathouse a restaurant with delicious meals, or Hop Pickers rest for a nice bite to eat. Say hello to our local wildlife especially the ducks and geese.
What to bring
It's advisable to check the weather and wear something to suit conditions, if it's not a particularly warm day you may find wearing something warmer that's easily removed is suitable, as sitting in a boat can become chilly! in hot weather please take precautions with clothing and bring along sun protection. Ensure footwear is suitable, footwear that removes easily is not advised.
Please be aware that wearing items such as Jeans will become very heavy if you get wet, it can make swimming very difficult if you have a "man over board situation" .
Ensure you bring enough food and drink with you, there are a few local spots for dining or quick food stops but if you wish to cruise freely we advise bringing your own.
SPARE CLOTHES this is a must, these can be left in your car and hopefully you won't need them but in the event you take a splash you will want to go home in dry clothes.
Valuables that don't float we advise to leave them at home, and if you wear glasses it's a good idea to attach them to a neck string designed for glasses.
We do provide waterproof pouches for phones with floats, but we do not hold responsibility for any phones damaged or lost as we can not ensure you have sealed the pouch correctly, so be advised these are bought along at your own risk.
